Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania - Luxury Airport Welcome & Hotel Stay

Day 2: Trek Begins – From Machame Gate to Machame Camp

After a lavish breakfast at the hotel, your driver will take you in a luxury vehicle to Machame Gate, where your Kilimanjaro trek officially begins. Here, you’ll complete registration formalities and meet your expert trekking team, including guides, porters, and chefs, all trained to the highest standards of luxury trekking.

The hike starts on a scenic trail through lush rainforests, with towering trees and vibrant flowers. Feel the cool mountain breeze as your private guide offers insights into the flora, fauna, and unique ecosystem. Upon arrival at Machame Camp, your premium tented accommodation will be ready, featuring a spacious, weatherproof tent with a comfortable camp bed, soft mattress, and cozy sleeping bag. Day 3: Climbing to New Heights – Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Start your day with a hot breakfast prepared by your private chef. As you ascend, you'll transition from lush rainforest to the scenic Shira Plateau. The terrain opens up to reveal breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro's twin peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo, in the distance.

Chakapori Safaris offers a personalized trekking experience, allowing for acclimatization hikes to higher elevations. Upon reaching Shira Camp, you'll enjoy a chef-prepared lunch before a short acclimatization hike to Lava Tower. Your luxury tent awaits, offering heated sleeping bags, a private restroom tent, and access to hot tea, coffee, and snacks throughout the day.

Day 4: Adventure & Acclimatization – Shira to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Today's adventure takes you higher to the famous Lava Tower at 4,600m, an essential stop for acclimatization. The unique "climb high, sleep low" strategy is designed to increase your chances of summit success. Your guides will closely monitor your health and pace.

After lunch at Lava Tower, you'll descend to the picturesque Barranco Camp, where you'll have stunning views of the massive Barranco Wall. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing hot towel service before a delicious dinner crafted by your personal chef. Take in the spectacular sunset, and if you're lucky, you may spot the Milky Way sparkling above.

Day 5: A Short, Scenic Climb – Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

The iconic Barranco Wall climb awaits. While it looks imposing, rest assured that it is a manageable hike with no technical climbing involved. Your personal guides will assist you every step of the way, ensuring you feel safe and confident.

Once at the top of the wall, pause for unforgettable photo opportunities with Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peaks behind you. Upon arrival at Karanga Camp, indulge in a rejuvenating herbal tea while overlooking the panoramic landscape. Settle into your luxury tent, which includes a private dining area, and savor an authentic Tanzanian dinner.

Day 6: The Final Push – Karanga to Barafu Camp

Fuel up with a nutritious, chef-prepared breakfast. Today’s route takes you through a rugged landscape of volcanic rock formations. Upon arrival at Barafu Camp, take time to rest and prepare for the midnight summit attempt. Dinner is served early to ensure you have plenty of time to sleep before the big climb.

Your dedicated team will ensure you’re equipped with warm layers, snacks, and guidance on pacing yourself for the summit. Sleep early because the adventure of a lifetime begins at midnight.

Day 7: Summit Day – Conquer Uhuru Peak!

This is it – the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek. Starting at midnight, you will hike under a blanket of stars with only your headlamp to guide you. Slowly but surely, you will make your way up the challenging scree to Stella Point (5,756m). With renewed energy, push forward to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.

Upon reaching the summit, celebrate with a luxury Champagne toast, take iconic summit photos, and soak in the moment of triumph. Afterward, descend to Mweka Camp for some much-needed rest, a warm meal, and celebratory drinks.

Day 8: Final Descent – Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

On your final day, descend through lush rainforest back to Mweka Gate, where you will be met with celebration and your official Kilimanjaro Certificate of Achievement. At the base, you will enjoy a celebratory lunch before returning to Arusha Serena Hotel for a luxury stay.
