At Chakapori Safaris Ltd, we strive to ensure your safari experience is seamless and enjoyable. Please read our terms and conditions carefully, as they form the agreement between us and our clients
Reservations and Payments
- A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the safari's start date. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the cancellation of your booking.
- For bookings made less than 30 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of booking
- Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other agreed-upon methods. Any associated transfer fees or charges are the client’s responsibility
Cancellation Policy
- All cancellations must be made in writing and will be subject to the following conditions
- More than 60 days before departure: Refund of the full amount, minus the deposit.
- 30 to 59 days before departure: Refund of 50% of the total cost
- Less than 30 days before departure: No refund will be provided.
- Chakapori Safaris is not responsible for costs incurred due to canceled flights, visa issues, or other personal circumstances
Travel Documents
- Clients are responsible for securing their own travel documents, including passports (valid for at least six months beyond the travel date), visas, and any necessary permits
- Please check the entry requirements for Tanzania and other destinations you may visit during the safari
- Vaccination requirements vary by country. Consult your doctor for advice on vaccinations needed for travel in East Africa, such as yellow fever
Health and Fitness
- Participants should be in good health and physically capable of handling safari activities, which may include walking, climbing in and out of vehicles, and being outdoors for extended periods
- Any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions must be disclosed during the booking process.
- Clients are advised to carry their own personal medications and a small first aid kit
Insurance
- Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, delays, lost luggage, and evacuation services
- Chakapori Safaris is not liable for any costs incurred due to lack of insurance
Itinerary and Changes
- While we endeavor to follow the agreed itinerary, unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, wildlife movements, or road closures may require adjustments
- Chakapori Safaris reserves the right to alter routes, accommodations, or schedules to ensure safety and the best possible experience
Accommodation and Meals
- Accommodation will be as per the itinerary and is subject to availability. Alternatives of similar standards will be provided if necessary
- Special dietary requirements must be communicated during booking, and we will do our best to accommodate them
Transportation
- Safari vehicles are equipped for maximum comfort and optimal wildlife viewing. Seating is rotated to ensure fairness for all participants
- Road conditions in East Africa can be rough; clients should be prepared for bumpy rides
Tipping and Gratuities
- Tipping is not mandatory but highly appreciated. Guidelines will be provided, but clients are free to tip at their discretion based on the level of service received
Behavior and Safety
- Clients are expected to adhere to the instructions of guides and staff at all times to ensure their safety and that of others
- Respect for wildlife, local customs, and fellow travelers is mandatory. Disruptive behavior may result in termination of participation in the safari without compensation
Force Majeure
- Chakapori Safaris is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, pandemics, or other unforeseen events
Photography and Media
- Chakapori Safaris may use photographs and videos taken during the safari for promotional purposes. Clients who do not wish to be featured must notify us in writing before the safari begins
Child Policy
- Children are welcome, but age restrictions may apply depending on the safari type and accommodations. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children’s behavior and safety throughout the trip
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania. Any disputes arising from the safari experience will be resolved under Tanzanian jurisdiction
